February 2005 - Mendoza, Argentina

Our first official buying trip to Argentina was a great success. Our group of seven people included William-Harrison Imports President Harrison Jones, William-Harrison Imports Marketing Director Danielle Jones, William-Harrison Imports Sales Manager Dan Terrasa, Investors Jim and Janet Katra, and relatives Dr. Frank and Shirley Volberg. Indeed we had an amazing eight day trip exploring the Argentinean wine country with its very European-like culture. We dined like kings and queens (thanks to the 3:1 exchange rate). We also discovered that Argentina had so many incredible wines waiting to be exported and imported into the United States.

Among our finds: A mouthwatering Reserva Malbec from Tittarelli, some delicious Torrontes from La Rana's vineyards in La Rioja, and a few treats from Vina Alicia, a boutique winery started by the wife of the owner of Luigi Bosca.
