Château Beau-Site Haut-Vignoble - Saint-Estèphe Cru Bourgeois

Complex With Fruit, Leather And Oak
90 Points Wine Spectator!
This big and oaky Saint Estèphe is composed of 69% Cabernet Sauvignon, 22% Merlot, 5% Petit Verdot and 4% Cabernet Franc, grown on deep gravel and clayey limestone, yielding a big, powerful wine. The grapes are hand-harvested and sorted before fermentation for three weeks in temperature-controlled stainless tanks. After 12 months in tank, the wine is racked into oak barrels (one third of which are new) for 20 months of aging. This is a exceptional value in Saint Estèphe and we are proud to have this little-known gem in our portfolio (previously, the French kept most of it themselves).
